Halloween is ridiculous marketing

First of all, here is a video of a well-known influencer, who explains perfectly in less than a minute what I wanted to make known in this article.

We are at a point where people don't care what holiday is celebrated as long as they have a party and an excuse not to work/study and thus be able to celebrate that day with more alcohol in their bodies than on a pirate ship.

In this case I come to talk about Halloween, that “party” which little by little has been expanding into a world of consumerism in which in a matter of one night thousands of people are able to spend hundreds of euros on costumes and decorations to make a day of respect, a day of revelry and mockery.

And this is losing more and more sense, because you can go out the night of the 31st and see people dressed up as babies, firemen, workers, beer bottles, memes, etc, and this should make us rethink what we are doing. And I have seen it very clearly, we are doing the idiot, we do not care about our culture and the only thing that matters to us is to have fun and live life based on stupidities, and this should be stopped immediately.

It is true that for the business world this is an opportunity, as it gives much play and it can make a company in the eyes of many go from being “boring” to “innovative” by the simple fact of dressing up for Halloween.I am not saying that I hate this way of celebrating a holiday, I am just saying that I consider that it is not being celebrated as it should be. If you think about it, the real holiday, at least in Spain, is the Solemnity of All Saints, a day to remember and commemorate all those people who one day decided to do good to make this a better world. And dressing up as zombies, monsters or even costumes that have nothing to do with Halloween, does not respect all those people who are citizens up there, including our grandparents, relatives or friends who are in Heaven.

I think we should take the opportunity to honor all of them and therefore take advantage of November 2, All Souls Day, to go to the Cemetery and show the respect we have or should have for them.

With this article my only intention is to make you reflect on whether you are living correctly this or all holidays, which always have much more meaning than society wants us to understand.

Under an appearance of good, lies hide the lie, which will always want to be like the truth. But even if it does not like it, the truth always wins.
