Who has never dreamt of having their products or services known all over the world? If I told you that this dream could come true, would you believe me? You heard right that dream is possible, and it's called marketing. That famous word "marketing", but what is it really mean? In a nutshell, we can say that marketing is providing the customer with what they need in order to satisfy their needs. 


Within marketing there are different ways to achieve your goals, but today we will talk about digital marketing. 

 

Digital marketing is the application of marketing strategies carried out in digital media. All the techniques of the off-line world are imitated and translated into the online world. In the digital sphere new characteristics appear such as immediacy, the irruption of social networks and tools that allow us to make real measurements.  

 

In nowadays consumers are able to search for what they want thanks to the power of search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.), and not only ask the given media if their decision is correct, they also have the possibility to read reviews, comments and ratings from other users. Because of this, many digital marketing techniques have appeared, such as SEO & SEM strategies. 

 

-SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. According to elEconomista, it can be defined as "Is the set of actions and techniques used to improve the search engine positioning (visibility) of a website on the Internet, within the organic results in search engines" In Spain, SEO strategies are used in Google, as it is the most used search engine. When we talk about SEO we are talking about organic results, that means that we are not going to pay to the search engine company to make our web pages more visible.

 

-SEM stands for Search Engine Marketing, like its partner SEO its aim is to find a good positioning for a website. Therefore, SEM seeks to improve positioning through paid advertisements that appear on search engines to determine keywords (Google Ads).

 

And now the big question, "I am a small company, and I can't afford to use SEM, how can I position my website so that it appears in the first results of google”. Nowadays, one of the most important factors for a good positioning is quality content, so it will be essential to develop more relevant content for SEO in order to have a higher visibility. 

Images, keywords, texts, external links... all this will make our website appear in one place or another in the hundreds of search engine results, which will translate into traffic for our website.

 

 

Now we will talk about a series of essential factors when it comes to SEO copywriting and good web positioning.


1-Know your audience

Before creating content, you must remember who your target audience is, how I want my customers to see me, what image I want to give them of me, how I want them to see me and what I want to give them? 

 

You must know your niche market very well, their interests and tastes what they are looking for, their problems and what you can offer them to solve their problems. But the fundamental part is whether your content contains the necessary information that your users are looking for.

 

2-Concise and easy to read content

A very important concept when writing the contents is that they must be simple and clear to read for the users, we must avoid professional or technical language because the users will end up abandoning the web quickly.

 

3-Employ keywords and attractive titles 

Most users access the first websites they see, looking at the title and not the content. It is therefore essential to create a very attractive title for the user, it aims to attract attention so that they enter and want to know more.

 

This title must include some keywords to increase even more the SEO positioning, you must include these keywords both in the title and in the content of the website itself. Therefore, the choice of keywords is of vital importance. 

 

4-Extension

How many words should a text have for a good positioning? This is a very common question. First of all, a long text is not synonymous with quality or good positioning. As I have already mentioned before, good positioning is based on keywords and the quality of the information.

 

It is true that to appear in the first google results it is recommended to write around 300 quality words. Within these 300 words should be included everything mentioned above, a good SEO content has the keywords very well distributed throughout the text. 

 

5-Link the content 

Both internal and external links are essential in order to obtain a good SEO positioning, including this kind of tools together with those mentioned above (keywords, quality content) will help us to obtain an advantage over the competition as well as more web traffic.


6-Be original

Finally, another important point is the fact of imagination and originality, you must create content that is different from that of your competitors and that the client has never seen before in order to generate great interest and thus increase the time that users spend on your website.

 

Knowing and analyzing SEO content in order to generate unique, quality content adapted to your target audience are key aspects to obtain the desired positioning.
